For this project, you will be separated into a group of four and given a role within Holocaust society. Together with your group members, you will research what it was like to live life as a member of your social group during this time period. During your research, you will traverse the web, watching videos, reading articles and investigating websites. As you gather information, make sure that you are thinking about the people who actually lived life this way.
Each group will be required to create a visual representation of their learning, which may include: a video, a blueprint of your ghetto, a battle plan, a biographical book or a blueprint poster of a plan to hide Jews within one's home. Each group will present their visual to the class at the end of the week and write a one page reflection about the project's impact on them at the conclusion of this assignment.
Remember, the question you seek to answer with your visual is:
What was it really like to live as a member of my social group during the Holocaust?
Students will use the Internet to research, write out a reflection and synthesize information as they research, completing all learning goals and complying with the CA Common Core State Standards.
